Hey everyone!

Today was such a fun day because I got to show the students in the Adapted Physical Activity class at Mount Royal University (MRU) how I use the Trexo Robotic Walking Device. I’ve been using the Trexo for almost 21/2 years now, and it’s really changed my life. So, I was excited to tell them all about it!

Before the Trexo, walking in my manual walker was hard and I could only take about 30 steps before getting tired because my knees hurt, and I often felt dizzy. But with the Trexo, it’s much easier to walk. The robotics help by assisting my leg movements.  I told the students how it has helped me walk without knee pain, and that’s a big deal for me. I can now get 2000 steps in easily!  Walking also has helped improve my circulation and now my Vertigo is almost completely gone too.

Talking to the students about my journey with the Trexo was so great! They asked a lot of great questions, and were really interested in hearing my story. It’s not just about walking—using the Trexo has made me feel stronger and healthier and it inspired me to study Health and Physical Education at MRU.

After talking about it, I got to demonstrate how the Trexo works in real time! I even got some steps in right there in class. It felt exciting to walk in front of everyone and show them what I can do.  Sometimes people underestimate me but when I’m at their eye level, in the Trexo, they perceive me differently.  I love standing up and talking to people, at their level.

Overall, it was a great day. I loved sharing my story with the class and showing them how the Trexo has helped me in so many ways. It’s not just about walking—it’s about feeling strong, confident, and fit. I hope the students enjoyed hearing my story and learned something new about how robotic devices can help people.

Thanks to MRU for letting me share, and thanks to the Trexo for helping me keep moving forward! #alexscoopfitness #trexowalking #mru #adaptedfitness
