Hi guys, it’s Alex!

This weekend I had the best time in Edmonton at the Alberta Adapted Physical Activity Summit. I was invited to share my journey living with cerebral palsy and demonstrate my Trexo robotic walking device alongside the PONI Lab. It was such an exciting and meaningful experience!

The summit brought together people who are passionate about adapted physical activity, accessibility, inclusion, and helping people of all abilities stay active and involved in their communities.

One of my favourite parts of the weekend was getting to show everyone my pink Trexo robotic gait trainer. So many people came up to ask questions and watch me walk. It made me really happy to share something that has changed my life so much.

Living with cerebral palsy means that movement can be challenging, but technology like Trexo has opened up opportunities. Walking in my Trexo helps me build strength, improve my mobility, and most importantly, gives me confidence and independence.

I loved being able to show the group that people with disabilities can do so many amazing things. Sometimes people see a wheelchair first and make assumptions, but this weekend was a reminder that ability looks different for everyone. With the right support, tools, and encouragement, we can achieve incredible things.

I also really enjoyed meeting so many kind and inspiring people who care deeply about making physical activity more accessible. Events like this are so important because they help spread awareness and create more opportunities for people with disabilities to participate, connect, and feel included.

Thank you so much to everyone who made the weekend so special. I am so grateful to the organizers, the attendees, the PONI Lab team, and everyone who stopped by to chat with me and learn about my journey.

I had so much fun and cannot wait for the next event! 💖♿️
