Yesterday I was asked to speak to a group of Physio students at the Pediatric Physiotherapy lab at the University of Alberta, Calgary Campus. It was a great experience, and I’m excited to share it with you.

There were two other participants with me, and together we spoke to the students about what is like  living with Cerebral Palsy. The students were there to learn from us, and they were really interested in what we had to say.

I got to tell my story and share all my experiences. I also talked about the Trexo, a device that helps me a lot. The students were really curious about it and wanted to know how it works.

The students were interested in learning about my range of motion and were surprised to see how flexible I am, especially after I stretch. They did some hand stretches with me and some hamstring stretches too stretching exercises together, for our hands and our legs, and it was a fun way to learn.

The students were all really nice and I enjoyed meeting them. It was fun to give them insight about how vital it is for people with disabilities to be active. #alexscoopfitness
