In June 2022 I raised caterpillars from larvae into adult butterflies.
So today I released nine painted lady butterflies which was very fun. When I went to release the butterflies the first time only a few came out of their habitat, but after lunch I tried again. This time all of them flew out of the habitat, one even came back and landed on me then flew away. I got another one sitting on my finger, it was a very fun experience to raise butterflies and I would definitely raise butterflies again next year.
In the spring, you just order the larvae and the arrive in a plastic tub with all their food. You watch the grown and go into their chrysalis. Then you wait and wait until the emerge as butterflies. You should try it too!
