I have been horseback riding since I was 7 years old but I’ve been around horses since I was very young because my uncle is a farrier and my grandparents had horses. I’ve been at many horseback riding places over the years and have ridden many different horses in my riding experience. I currently go for lessons every Sunday afternoon.
I ride a beautiful horse named Rocky. He is a very gentle and loving horse, and likes to give me kisses. His colour is called a bay which is known to have a black mane and tail and a brown body. Before Rocky was used for therapeutic riding he used to be a pack horse. I have been riding him for two years now at Prairie Sky Equine Assisted Therapy. I love riding Rocky because it boosts my confidence and it makes me like I can do anything.
Like I say in my motto, “I can do anything even though I’m in a wheelchair, I just do it differently in my own unique way”.
