Last night’s Blake Shelton concert in Calgary was amazing and way more than just an ordinary concert— and guess what, Gwen Stefani showed up! For a long-time Blake fan like myself, this event wasn’t just another concert; it felt like the party of the year!
Kickoff with Emily Ann Roberts
The show started off with a bang as Emily Ann Roberts hit the stage. She was from Team Blake on Season 9 of “The Voice.” Emily Ann was the warm up singer and her performance was fantastic, getting everyone hyped up right from the start.
And guess what? I actually got to meet her afterwards! She was super fun and even signed my t-shirt. It was cool to meet her – she was very encouraging and shared her faith.
The Main Show: Blake & Gwen
When the lights went down and Blake Shelton walked out, the arena just exploded. Blake was fun to watch and a great singer then all of a sudden, he started strumming a few chords of Gwen Stefani’s famous song, “Don’t Speak” and I started screaming as Gwen came onto the stage.
The crowd went crazy! Their duets were off the awesome and I knew all the words. My favourite song was, “Happy Anywhere”.
Style Points
I wasn’t sure what to wear to the concert but finally decided on my pink sequin pants – everyone commented on how cool they looked and my outfit even caught Emily Ann’s eye. She loved them! It’s kinda cool how the right outfit can make a night even more special.
Wrapping Up a Special Night
As the concert wrapped up, everyone was on their feet. The songs were great and the evening was really fun. I loved being part of Blake, Gwen, and Emily Ann’s world at the concert.
The music was inspiring and who knows, I might even write my own song someday!
