Last Saturday, I had the chance to volunteer at the Adapted All Sport One Day Event in Calgary, and it was awesome! The day was full of different adapted sports, and it was a lot of fun.

The best part? It was free for anyone who wanted to join. You just had to sign up ahead of time. The event was organized by the Calgary Adapted Hub, held at Vecova and they also had a resource fair with different vendors showing off all kinds of unique adapted sports.

I got to try some cool sports like roller sledge hockey and adapted lacrosse. I also watched adapted cheer, fencing, and yoga. Each one was a new experience for me and the participants seemed to love it. They even had an outdoor resource fair where you could try adapted tandem bikes with CP Kids and Families.

Rocky Mountain Adaptive also came in from Canmore to share some of their programs as well as the AFFTS group showcased how they support families.

All in all it was a happy day with lots of smiles as kids enjoyed this Try It Day offered through the City of Calgary.
